Thiago Perri is a former Brazilian Air Force jumper, turned international tattooed model. He’s done campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and many other big names in the fashion industry.
When Thiago was only 17 years old he started getting some ink and at age 18 he enlisted for military. While in the Brazilian Military you’re not allowed to have tattoos, so Thiago Perri had to be careful. He left the military at age 23, and now 10 years laters he’s now fully covered in ink!
Parachute into Modeling
Thiago was first discovered by a Ford Models scout and since then his career took off. It’s clear he has a very specific profile in the modeling world, his tattoos make him so unique. Though it limits him to the types of jobs he’s eligible however, the ones that do go his way are glorious.
He knew what he wanted. To be fully covered in ink. After meeting other tattooed models during a casting call in Milan, Thiago decided it was time to stop fearing not being able to get work. At that point he was mostly covered with ink but decided to tattoo his neck and hands.
We asked Thiago Perri which area of his body he felt the most pain? He replies “Dude, the abdomen is by far the most sensitive area for me! I couldn’t relax at all. Like on my neck you kind of go from one side to the other, and it’s not that it isn’t painful. But on the belly, it feels like your organs are being tattooed [laughs]”!
Thiago is employed by L’Equipe Models in Sao Paulo and Major Models in Milan. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time at the beach with his two beautiful young daughters.
